What should I consider to get the best results from Auto-Cut?
While Narrafix does a great job independently identifying and addressing relevant scenarios in many cases, the reliability of the results can be improved even further by considering a few things in the input data. Below are some tips to ensure high output reliability, reflecting standard professional studio practices:
🎙️ Recordings in professional studio quality
Narrafix is optimized for audio from professional studio environments. Poor audio quality, background noise, and unsuitable file formats can affect output quality.
🔁 Try to repeat in complete sentences
If a mistake is made within a sentence, it is best to restart the passage, sentence or clause to achieve the most reliable results. Learn more
⏯️ Mistakes? 1-2 Sec Pause – Then start again!
If a mistake happens, it's best to silently restart the sentence or passage after a small pause of a second or more. Avoid to correct yourself mid-sentence or mid-word as this could result in undesirable results - even when you edit manually as a human 🙂 Learn more
🙊 Try to avoid off-script speech
Off-script speech will be removed, but may in some cases not be removed in tricky cases. Therefore, it is best to avoid discussions with the director, directorial instructions, as well as sentences like 'I’ll try that again!' to prevent unnecessary extra work later. Learn more
🚩 Avoid setting acoustic editing markers
Data should not include acoustic markers (clicks, snaps, etc.), as Narrafix doesn't remove them automatically. Visual markers aren't necessary and are ignored.
⬆️ Upload in chapters and consecutive file numbering
Narrafix works best and fastest if you upload you files chapter by chaper. In this way, the files are already in the right structure for distribution. Learn more
