Does Narrafix process the files or change loudness or EQ?

No - Narrafix does not apply any audio processing or changes to your files in terms of sound quality, volume, EQ, bitrate, or samplerate.

The software performs only structural editing: it detects and removes duplicates, false starts, off-script parts, and reassembles the correct takes according to the script - but it never alters the sonic characteristics of your material.

That means:

  • No loudness normalization
  • No EQ, compression, limiting, or other effects
  • No format conversion beyond what’s necessary for processing

You can be completely confident that your processed files sound 100% identical to the originals.

If you notice volume or tonal differences, please double-check whether you’re comparing them in the same playback environment. Some DAWs or media players automatically apply playback gain or normalization, which can make two identical files appear to sound different. Also, check back if you exported with Insert- Group- or Master Bus Plugins left on that could alter the sound if you pull the narrafixed WAV back in your Audio Software.

In short: Narrafix doesn’t process your audio. It edits structure - not sound.
